I can't seem to connect this Callpilot 100 to the Network.
Tried every conceivable cord combo. Almost as if the wrong IP address is in the unit. Can anyone help me?
You must change the IP address to match the range of the Network IP's.
First ask your network admin for an IP address for you to use on there network.
1. Go to you network settings(TCP/IP) on your laptop and change your laptops IP to 192.168.110.11(right down existing IP) then reboot laptop.
2.Use a crossover RJ45 patch cord and connect your laptop to the Callpilot.
3.Open internet explorer and type in
4.Type in password of 0000
5. Go to system config listed on leftside.
6. Change IP address to the same IP the network admin gave you, if they gave you 192.168.1.100 then make the Call Pilot 192.168.1.100
7.Connect Call Pilot to the network via hub and a standard patch cord.
8.Reboot Call Pilot
9.Open internet explorer from a PC on the network and type in
i'm having the same problem, i changed my IP to 192.168.110.11 and my subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 and I am using a crossover cable. i see a link light on the CP100, but nothing from a webbrowser.
i tried to ping the IP 192.168.110.10 and got nothing.
I've got a 10/100 switch (D-Link) that will not see my NAM 10baseT card. I have had to put a cheap 10baseT hub between the 2 to get the switch to see the NAM so i can do desktop messaging and administration of the NAM over my network. It might not be your vmail, it might just be the network equipment...
on a side note, the D-Link switch also does not see my laserprinter also with a 10baseT only connection - so it gets to share the 4 port no name brand hub with the NAM.
I have had the same experience on CP100's. About half of the time it will not connect using the default settings.
What you need to do is go to your Network Neighbourhood->Properties->TCP/IP settings for your LAN (or PC) card. As Curlycord suggested, go to Properties->Specify an IP Address->change IP Address to 192.168.110.11 & Subnet Mask to 0.0.0.0
In the last 3 weeks I have installed more than a dozen of these, and the only model that does this is the CP100. I have never had a CP150 fail. They always connect the first try.
Main hassle here is you MAY have to restart your pc after changing IP settings before trying to reconnect again.
We had the problem of not connecting also. All we had to do was to make sure that there were no lines assigned to the extension. It worked fine just using a regular crossover cable and the correct IP address and subnet mask.
I have found that you need to make sure the ethernet is connected when you boot up the Call Pilot. If it isn't connected at startup, i have had to reboot.
