Hi,

I'm at my wit's end trying to figure out why I'm not able to import greetings into my CallPilot 100. When I go to import the vbk and click Send, it briefly displays "Import in progress...", then does nothing (the From box with the file path goes blank, and the play button doesn't play back the greeting). There's no error message about it being incompatible, as I've seen in other posts.

The wav file has the appropriate specs (mono/16 bit/8000 Hz; created using Audacity), and I used CallPilot Player to convert it to a vbk. I've used two different versions of Player (2.50.06.17 from the Avaya site and 2.50.06.27 that I found on archive.org, of all places) to convert the file, and made sure to install it with the Outlook integration, as suggested in this thread ( I can't actually connect to the CallPilot using Outlook because I don't have a desktop messaging license, but it does get to the point where it tells me that. I also recorded a test file directly in the Player and saved it as a vbk, with the same results. So I don't think it's the vbk file, but if someone has a known good vbk for a CallPilot 100, that would help rule it out (or point to it as the problem).

I've tried different browsers and computers, and the only way I even get the importing message is with IE in compatibility mode. Same behavior on Windows 10 with IE11 as on XP with IE8 (both in compatibility mode). Maybe I need IE6? It does seems like the kind of problem that might be browser related.

I'm also a little suspicious about the software version of the CallPilot itself. In System Properties, it says the Voice Mail version is 31.10.37.22, but from what I found in the release notes, that version is where the branding was changed from Nortel to Avaya. My interface still says Nortel on top (see attached), and I don't see any Avaya branding anywhere. Is it maybe an incomplete/corrupted upgrade? I know there was a version that had a bug that prevented importing greetings. This seems like an unlikely scenario, but it does seem odd to not actually see anything Avaya when that was the whole point of version 31.10.37.22.

Any insight? Thanks for your help!

[31.10.37.22]
[Q02153258] - Rebrandiing: CP 100/150 prompts referring to Nortel must be changed or
removed

Nothing about logo's or lettering, only prompts.

I have always used Nortel's last update 31.10.36.22 when I upgrade sites only because I do not like Avaya (lol)....so I have never noticed/heard their prompts.

What file sizes are they? 470 KB is the limit.
Stick with player 2.50.06.27 only.

I have a BCM so I am not able to produce a vbk file for you to test.

Maybe try another Audio program to save as the wav....some of my replies I had tried Roxio player when others did not work but using same settings.
Try another PC too.

I found this: Not sure what version player it is but you should install it onto a PC that does not already have Desktop or Player on it.

Your description is as if it is hanging, possibly corrupt software so then a REINSTALL would be in order, then try a restore otherwise re-program from scratch if you restore the bug.
