Hi. I connect to the callpilot 100 via the serial cable and change the IP to 192.168.2.5, default gateway to 192.168.2.1 and subnet mask to 255.255.255.0. The problem is when I try to access the manager via the web browser (IE i get "page cannot be displayed". If I ping the callopilot, I get 100% response. What could be the problem? I have a router in the middle (192.168.2.1)

Did you reboot after you changed the IP? is their any other device connected with that address? Use a crossover cable directly on the call pilot and try you address again.

I agree w/BGUN..Looks like you didn't reboot..
The router shouldn't be an issue

Good Idea. Yes I restart the callpilot after the ip change. I will try a crossover cable directly from my computer. Should I change the default gateway back to 0.0.0.0 ?

try with just the sub net and no default gate way

ski season has started

Also for future..
If you are planning to maintain..and or install these CP's its a good investment to get a Straight Through Serial cable to connect to Laptop/Computer..go in through hyperterminal and watch the bootup..

I did that. That's the way I change the ip to the one i mension it.

Oh ok..
So you have confirmed via the serial that it has taken the new IP? Do you have it connected to the PBX?
