Can a CallPilot be configured to only answer calls during certain time windows? Ideally, I'd like the auto attendant to answer calls immediately after hours, but only pickup when there is no answer (after maybe 5 rings) during business hours.

This is on a MICS 7.1 system

Yes
You can tell Vmail side to answer at 5 rings (as a backup)
And you can setup a service mode on phone system side to answer at 0 rings (Auto)

I understand how to setup the (5) rings on the CallPilot and that is working, but I'm not sure what you mean by service mode. Are you talking about Night Service? If so, is there a way to automate it by time of day instead of requiring a user to enable/disable it?

Jason

Set your services (Night ring) to auto, then set the time settings in the table settings. There are settings for each day of the week. Morning, afternoon, evening, and non business.

If its not working, get a bigger hammer!

What I meant was assign your Callpilots DN as the member to ring (remove 221 or what ever is in there by default)), Auto is a setting other than Manual (where reception would press button or do F871 every night.

Service Modes or Services is the proper term and what to look for in programming, it includes Schedules by default as: Lunch, Evening and Night and 3 others to play with.
Times and names of Schedules can be changed.

Besides Auto in Services Splic3d is also talking about changing the Callpilot itself to play greetings at a certain time/day, the phone system in Services is to tell when a set should answer which is the Callpilots DN in this case, as opposed to the phones in the plant as example and has its own time settings as well.

If you know navigation and password (otherwise call a tech in):

KSU
Services/RingingService/Groups/01 and add members
Services/RingingService/Sched:Night/ and set to Auto
Services/RingingService/Sched:Night/LineSettings/ and add the line #'s that should be answered by putting into Group 01
Services/RingingService/CommonSettings/ to setup the control set, names of schedules and scheduled times.
