I would like to upgrade my callmanager 4 to 7 however, here is the catch. I want to upgrade on my current hard drives, than install new hard drives a go through the upgrade again. This way I have backup hard drives should something drastic happen. Will I run into licensing issues? I will use the same DMA output established when upgrading on the old hard drives.

Thanks Much.

You won't have any licensing issues with the hard drive swap you're talking about. Licensing is tied to the MAC address.
If it were me, I'd run the DMA tool on the original HD's, you HAVE to save the DMABackup off box on an FTP or SFTP server, then put the new HD's in and start the UCM 7.0 install. That way you'd have the CCM 4 drives as a disaster backup until the UCM 7 system has been fully tested.
The upgrade doesn't check to see if CCM 4 is installed, it just wipes the HD's clean and starts the install. That's why you have to store the DMABackup off-box. Then during the install it asks for the DMA file location to re-import the database.
