CallManager Appliance Question..?? License

I'm looking for advice, Unified CallManager Appliance uses license for work..?? if you want more users, Can i doing by adding License..??

I was looking the information but i don´t find a practical explanation.

Help me Please.

Here is how I understand this issue. With Window based call managers the licenses where purchased with the phones. With 5.0 and later it is sold with the servers.

Jeter is mostly correct. But for 5.0 and later you have to have a server license AND device licenses (DLU's) for the phones. Each phone uses between 3-5 DLU's based on phone type. With a Demo license which comes with the server software, you get 50 DLU's and 1 Server license. If you add actual licenses the demo license goes away as in if you add 100 DLU's you get 100 not 150.
