Two Questions ....
Ok, so CallManager Licensing breakdown is the following:
- Phone License (or Device Licenses based on Units)
- CCM Node License
Without the CCM Node License you can't start the CallManager service.
Without the Phone License(s) you can't register IP Phones to CallManager.
My question is more with the CCM Node License. I already have the CallManager 5 software installed and I
need to obtain a CCM Node License. Well, whether I go to google or CDW, for example, I can't
search for that.
Looking at the following URL below, I think the CCM Node license would be listed under ORDERINING INFORMATION especially
under "Table 2. New Cisco Unified CallManager Part Numbers":
I have the MCS 7815 (IBM x206 model). So I assume that my CCM Node License would be LIC-CM5.0-7815-I2=
Is this the CCM Node License? (FIRST QUESTION)
In sad news, the LIC-CM5.0-7815-I2= is around $3000, so that won't be happening anytime soon especially for development purposes.
One person mentioned that we can use "CM5.0-K9-NFR" as a CCM Node License, which is a lot of cheaper (~$150).
Is this true? (SECOND QUESTION)
Any info & help here from individuals who have a fully functionally CCM5 (with CCM Node Lic & Phone Lic) installed please let me know? Any info provided would be great! Especially with the NFR license.
Thanks!
