Calllisten setup......So I put in the shortcode, added the user to the hunt group, and set the monitor group for the user. I can dial the shortcode from the extension and it works. When I attempt to program a button I get an incompatible message.

Shortcode: *99*N#

I dial *99*(ext. to be monitored)## and it works. I insert *99*(ext. to be monitored)## into the button program with the action of dial and it gives the incompatible. Should I use something different than dial?
 
*99*<ext># works, so why not use that that with the button. The *99*<ext>## doesn't because you added the extra #.

Easier still just setup a button using CallListen rather than Dial.
 
why not programm the button with a feature of CallListen & make sure that the number of the extn to monitor is set in the action data field?
 
If the supervisor doesn't have to manage many agents, setup User buttons for the agents they wish to listen or monitor.

When the agents are on a call press the corresponding button and it will give listen, intrude, acquire options
 
I tried to use the calllisten action and then put the extension in the number field but I get silence. But if I press any key after pressing the calllisten button on the set it works????

I'll just use dial and then have the user press #.

JeSTeROCK, how would I set up user buttons that you described?

I'd use a 5420 for the supervisor.

Setup up all the agents that you wish to listen to in a group. Make sure all the agents have Cannot be intruded on unticked.

On the supervisor user tick Can Intrude and in the monitor group put the group of the agents as stated above.

In the button programming of the supervisor add action User and put the agent in the action data area (in inverted comma's eg. "James")

When the agent is on the phone press the corresponding user button. A list of options will appear on the screen. Acquire, Listen and Intrude.
