Hello everybody !!

My problem is when I put phones in "Calling Search Space" nobody can call anybody and when I take them out (no Calling Search Space) everything works fine.

Now, normally I wouldn’t complain but I really need this option :)

I created the Partition and added it to the calling search space and configured the phones to use that partition and calling search space

What am I missing / doing wrong ??

Call manager is 3.1, phones are 7910

You should stop/start the ccm service or your ip phones for the settings to take affect.
also make sure all the phone who should be able to call each other are in the same partition.

All the phones are in the one (and only) partition. Partition is included in the “calling search space” and all the devices have been reseated or restarted including the MCU, but it still doesn’t work.

You might want to check that the "Line" properties are set for the correct CSS, not just the "Phone" properties.

It's meant to work by looking at phone CSS first, then at line. So line CSS will override phone CSS.

But I tend to find that things work best if you have both line and phone set to the same CSS...

Also, don't forget to give your gateway the same CSS (if your gateway is MGCP that is). And you'll have to restart all phones/gateways after a CSS change. Apparently the new service pack for CM4.02 fixes this, not requiring a restart after CSS change. I'm looking forward to that...

Hope this helps.

When I sad phones a meant phones and lines are configured for partition and CSS. I think I got the phones cowered but do I need to configure something else like permitions for partitions/CSS (I’m guessing here).

As for the gateway, I still don’t have anything connected to the system to go out on the PSTN/PBX .

Tanks for help
