Hi

Can anyone explain what happens in the following scenario.
We read messages from 2 channels using 2 separate maps, depending on content we call the same RUN map. What happens when messages appear on both channels and both try and call the RUN map simultaneously. Does the RUN map put the second and future calls in a wait state and order them as per call or does it spawn separate processes for each call?

Thanks for any help in advance

It will depend on the settings for the run map. If all its outputs (including work files, log files and card settings) are uniquely named then multiple instances of the map will be spawned. It the outputs are not unique then the run map will enter a pending state or fail depending on retry map settings.
