Customer would like it so that when clients call in they are greeted by questions such as "Who are you calling?", "What dept are you wanting?' etc where you in turn reply with ext# or persons name etc.

Is there a program for this or is this in and only in the IVR package?.

From what I understand IVR on a BCM is very complex and costly? where you can get the status of an order etc but we dont need all that.

Is IVR the only way?.

If I am understanding what you are looking for, you would like some sort of speech recognition. That does not exist for the BCM. Even the IVR requires manually entering digits.

So on the BCM... Interactive Voice Response means caller responding by way of touchtone to the Voice of the greeting? hehe.

Ok thanks, will notify cust SOL.

With hand held device Handsfree law poping up everywhere this will become in demand.
In Toronto we are allowed to press 1 speed dial or 1 button to answer.

Yes, you are correct, the NAM did support it.

Yes just hooked one up, option is greyed out in NVM so looks like key code required.

Hard to believe CP's or BCM wouldnt have this....what were they thinking.
