Hi Guys,

I am using CME with 25 DNs and i was wondering if there was a way to restrict certain DNs to be restricted to call Directory numbers only?

The directory numbers range from local numbers to interstate and even cell phones.

Thanks!

What the?!?!

Restrict the specific users to internal and Speed dial lists only

Build all speed dials where 9 (or whatever number you use for external calling) is replaced with "A", the rest of the number is consistent with the regular dialed number

i.e. 00, Axxxxxxx, John Doe, hide

Then you will need to build a dial peer similar to this:

dial-peer voice 2 pots
corlist outgoing BulkSpeedDialOnly
description Bulk-SpeedDial matching ALL calls
destination-pattern AT
port 0/1/0:1

Then you will need to restart the router to put this into service.

The reason to put a letter in there, is that when restricted phone calls a speed dial, they can see the number that goes out from the Speed Dial entry. The smarter ones will realize that they can enter the code in front of the number and get an outside line if it is numeric. If you put an A there, the translation will work, they will see what is there for the speed dial entry, but they will not be able to dial it (A) from their phones.

Does this get you to where you want to be?

Yes, gives me a much better idea.

But it will be painful as there are 100 directory entries to modify. Why AT? Shouldn't it just be A?

What the?!?!

Upload to your PC do a search and replace, then download to your Router again.

I think T is the command to dial the rest of the string - sorry not all that familiar with the CME CLI.
