Ok - I know Mexico changed their telephone standards a couple years back to 12 digit dialing. We *RARELY* (read: never) dial international numbers. Well - the VP wants to call some Cancun hotels for pricing info and we get "we're sorry - your call cannot be completed as dialed"

This used to work when I set it up years ago, but not now it seems. Number is:
011-52-998-881-0600
011-52-998-849-4555

Using AT&T LD T1's. Route pattern 2 carries 011 calls..here's whats in it:

011 10 18 p2 intl n

I tried changing the min digits to 12, and changing intl to natl and pubu without success. Any ideas?

Here's a station trace:

10:42:26 tone-receiver 01A0203 cid 0x1d2
10:42:26 active station 4547 cid 0x1d2
10:42:35 dial 9011529988494
10:42:35 term trunk-group 2 cid 0x1d2
10:42:46 dial 9011529988494555#
10:42:46 route-pattern 5 preference 1 cid 0x1d2
10:42:46 seize trunk-group 2 member 90 cid 0x1d2
10:42:50 dial 9011529988494555#
10:42:50 outpulse done 11529988494555#
10:42:58 idle station 4547 cid 0x1d2

I noticed where it says dial 9011529988494 that its not inserting all of the digits. Where can i track that problem down to? Also it says route pattern 5, but in the ars an for 011 it shows p2 (route pattern p2).?

We just were upgraded to multivantage 11.1. Any tips? It's been too long. Thanks.

according to your trace it looks like it is trying to use route pattern 5.
Do you have any other entries in ars starting with 011xx?
It looks like with the route chosen it is stripping the leading 0.

Aha!!! I missed that one! Awesome! I was concentrating on the last digits that were missing, but it was the 0 that got stripped out, so I changed route pattern 5 to not delete 1 digit and it works great now. Thanks!

One thing im confused on now - why does it say in ARS that it uses Route Pattern "p2" and not "p5" or "5"? Is this new in 11.1? On the previous G3si v6 it just said "route pattern 2". This is kindof scary to think the route pattern listed in ars is not actually the one used. There are no other 01x entries in our ARS.

Any reasoning for why p2 is route pattern 5, and not route pattern 2?

The p2 refers to partition-route-index 2. Type "change part 2" and you'll see that route index 2 utilized route pattern 5.

That hit the nail right on the head. Now all my questions are answered. :) Thanks!
