Hi

I am trying to call a local number which I have checked and the local prefix has been added to our switch why does it not go thru? I call this number and it just rings and rings with no answer. I call it from an outside line and the other end picks up what could be the issue and what can I do to resolve this issue? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Thank You,

PYALLY

print all your local NXX's to make sure the one your calling is going out the same RLI as the others.

or do a trace on your phone when your calling it to see what TN it is going out on.

If you are going out on a PRI, go into LD 96 and enable the DCH monitoring (off hours only, or you will get flooded).

Capture the data, and look closely at the CALLED number parameters.

My guess would be Bars is not stopping you from going out or you would of got a fast busy.Look at the RLI then the RLB and see if any DMI's are set up to insert or delete digits. But I would trace it first before looking into the RLB

The prefix is set to AC1 I also took the prefix out and re-entered it to make sure it was set correctly. I am not real heavy on the Telecom side so how do i actually do a trace of the number or what else I need to do.

Thanks,

PTALLY

Did you check to make sure it is going out the same RLB as the other NXX's ?

When I took it out and put it back in I made sure it was in the same RLI as the others. How do I do a list for all?
