Calling into Meet Me Conference

I need help with configuring the meet me conference to meet our needs. I need for outside users to call into a meet me conference, but need assistance on how to finish setting it up. The conference works when using the "MeetMe" soft button for internal users but we have board members that want to call in from their cell phones.

as long as:
1- the meet-me conference is already in session and begun by someone internally
2 - the meet-me DN is a fully qualified PSTN DID number (or you have a PSTN DID number that you transform to this met-me DN

an external party can just dial the full meet me number and join the conference

there is no security as far as passwords, etc

You could set up entrance and exit tones i believe to signal a caller joining or leaving the conference

I had the telco company set up 800 toll free numbers that pointed to the DID number for the meetme. For example you have a meetme number of 5000 and this is part of your transaltion pattern and part of your DID range. I got the 800 number pointed to the xxx-xxx-5000
The 800 number only cost 1$ per month plus the long distance usage.
also the long distance number xxx-xxx-5000 would work if you didnt want to give out the toll free number.

We got it working by doing the following.

Adding an internet subscriber in Unity.
Filling in first, last name and using the meet-me extension
smtp address 5500@domain.vm

clicking yes, ring subscriber extension 5500 on call transfer
send caller to "hang up" in the greeting section

There is a way to front end a MeetMe conference with a Unity CallHandler where the person joining the MeetMe gives there name and it is announced. Then the caller can be accepted or rejected. This will give some security.

your thinking of meeting place express. There isnt any way to use a call handler as you suggested.

In the post I said I haven't tried it but I actually have since then, works good.
