I have a cust that wants the 0 out option to go to a group of users & if not answered go to coverage. They have an ACS R7 & Partner Messaging R6. I was reading a post about the call returning to the Auto Attd if not answered and then going to a mailbox. How do I do this?? Thanks in advance!! Eileen

Create a calling group (#502)with the extensions you want in the group, (71 for example), make it auto-attendant 2 (if available) in the Partner Messaging with the 0-out option going to wherever you want the messages going to. Then you can create a brief message for AA2 saying "all of our agents are currently busy, please hold and you can leave a message".

Make Auto-Attendant 1 0-out to extension 71.

Now if a caller 0-outs, it will first ring the group and then go to the AA2 message and then timeout to whatever mailbox you designate.

You don't really have to make mailbox 71 point to an Auto Attendant, just make it a regular mailbox ("with a phone"). The KEY is to NOT program the Transfer Return Extension parameter for the voice mail ports back to Ext. 10 as instructed in the manual. Instead, keep them at default, i.e., each VM port points to itself in #306.

Then set the 0 out option to transfer to Ext. 71, which will send it to the group. If it is unanswered, it bounces back to voice mail, and mailbox 71 will answer.

The last problem is getting a message waiting light for 71. With an R6, you can use the "phantom mailbox" option, to play 71's outgoing message, but put the incoming message in another mailbox with a light attached. If you don't want someone to share their own personal mailbox with the group, then point it to one of the unused General Mailboxes (9991, 9992, 9993, or 9994) and attach the MW light to an extension. That extension gets MW for both their personal mailbox and the General Mailbox, but they keep their personal mailbox private.

Thanks TT Tommy!! As soon as my cust calls me bk I will set it up.Do you know where on the AVAYA Bus Part. site do you go to download the patch for T1 on R6 Partner? I can't seem to find it.
Thanks,Eileen

If you are a Business partner , log into the portal, look under Merlin Magix installation and migration, then look for the eflash tools string. Once there it will show all the upgrades and patches and what type card you need to do the download.

Thanks 1043- I got to the part where you need to put in a username & password & tried our BP login & password & it didn't work. Is there a different PW??

TT Tommy- I walked my cust through the programming & it works great!! Thanks

You have to create a username and password for yourself. Call the 866 number and set up an account.
