Can an extension be a member of more than 1 calling group? I found a thread about this but the link to the documentation was not valid. It said something about the R4 was able to do this. My customer is a R2 & would have to be upgraded. I appreciate any help.

Yes - in Merlin Magix Release R4 - you can be a member of more than one calling group - this was not true with R2 - and I am not sure exactly what release added that capability.

Check if they have Release 2.1 (or later) - that was the 1st release to allow multiple calling group membership. Release 2.0 or below limited any one extension to a single calling group membership.

Thanks for the info Tom. They have a 2.0 now so they will need to be upgraded. Just want to clarify that an extension can be logged into more than 1 group at the same time OR the user can log into a different group using log in codes.Do you have a link to the 4.0 docs? Can't find anything over 3.0 on the AVAYA site.
Thanks

There was not much difference between Magix Release 3.0 and 4.0 - except for record-a-call button and support for the imitation TransTalks (3810 and 3910).
