Hello all, I have a customer with a new magix 3.0, pri, voice mail. They would like to have AA answer calls, if user presses 2, route to a group of (7) extentions, Initiate call queing, que x calls . Overflow to voice mail. I first set up with login buttons on sets, however the user must be able to handle other calls also, so this way did not appear to work. New install customer converted from Partner II. They liked the calling groups there. Any suggestions. Calls must be able to go to voice mail when unattended.

thanks

ron k

Magix 3.0 does have a "GROUP RING" option under Calling Group/Hunt Type.

That should do it for you.

MerlinMan, i thank you for your quick response. What am I forgetting to do? I have programmed the 7 ext.'s in members of 771, and and set it for "group ring". Waht else do I need to do? I can't get the partner programmin g part out of my head. I know there is a diff.

Thank you

Ron k.

Here is what I need to happen, AA answers, caller presses 2, call goes and rings group # 771. After 9 rings caller goes to voice mail.

440-446 members of 771, type grp ring..What else do I need? Or am I missing..?

Thanks

Ron

Set Over Flow to your Voice Mail group, and set an extension to be the Message Receiver for 771.

That should take care of it.

Merlinman:does the call go to voicemai? Do I have to put any thing (ext) in the group # 30? What do I set the overflow to??

Thanks

Ron.

Set a Mail Box up for 771 (With Phone... I am assuming Messaging...)

When the call over flows to VM for 771, the Messaging will try to turn on the Mesg Light for 771, but the Magix will know it is really for the MESSAGE RECEIVER you set up, and turn on that extensions Message Light.

Does that answer your question?

MerlinMan, I am using a Duvoice DV2008. I have the same application with another calling group. line # 0247 comes in on a pri and i have it routed to CG 780. In Members i have the ext's 470-477 in it. I have overflow set to the vm cg. I have set message for 780 to ext 474. I have made a mb for 780 and there is one for 474 already.. I cal in on 0247 and all I get is ringing... never goes to vm.

Thanks for your help!!

OK, let's do this...

I am assuming you have the ability to dial into the system any time, RIGHT?

IF so, do a PRINT ALL and email it to me, along with what you want it to do.

(OF course, the PRINT ALL will take HOURS, but do it at night when it won't disrupt the use of your PC.)

Once I have that info, I can make a better suggestion....

YES, I HATE THAT - but I can "Boil it down" once I get it.

I usually do that kind of thing at night.
