Trying to figure out a strange issue w/ 2 extensions of a calling group. They are both members of group 1009, but one of the exts. gets logged out of the group if any other type of call comes to her, be it internal or a transfer from the operator. Group calls do not log her out.

The 2nd ext. having a similar issue, where if someone dials her ext. from the AA or she receives an internal ext. to ext. call, it will drop her from the group.

There are other members in this group and they all work fine. I pulled some ext. info for a working ext., and then the 2 exts. that don't work right to do a stare and compare but don't see anything out of the ordinary. Anyone have this issue before, or possibly something that I may have overlooked?

Thanks,
Jay

Is the mere fact that she has received another call causing this extension to become LOGGED OUT, -OR- is she on that call, and then delivered a GROUP CALL, but pays no attention to it, and then getting logged out?

If I suspected the above, I would TURN OFF ABBREVIATED ringing.

That fixes a lot of "My phone doesn't ring at times..." complaints.

This is the response I got from the customer:

"If they are on a call received thru the group then they receive another call they are logged out. I assume these are calls being dialed direct as if they are in the hunt group, logged in and on a call that came thru the hunt group; the system will not direct another call to a CFR who has taken a call, it directs to another open CFR. Once they finish a call the hunt group recognizes it and will again direct calls to them."

I tok another look and noticed that on their ext. info I printed out, that these 2 exts. have an ESS Restiction that is different from the others in the group: ESS Restrictions : ESS-2 - NO RESTRICTION

The other exts. have an ESS-0 instead of the ESS-2.
