calling function with parameter from drop down menu

ive got a drop down menu, each item on it has a value that is a call to a servelet. when the user clicks a "go" button the xsl calls a javascript func tion :submitNoVerify('') however i the parameter to be the value of whatever is selected on the drop down menu. how do i do this
