Hi all,

We have 2 sites that had each a dedicated PBX.
This is now changed to centralized VoIP system (Avaya 8530).

Issue is:
People can now call each other by the last 4 digits of the full number. But we see a lot of people dialing the full number (0 for outside line and then the full number). They are used to do so and habbits are not easy to change.
As this cost us money how can I change this to the internal number??? I have done it once but can't remember how I did it....
So please refresh my memory :)

So how can I change 0021234567 to 4567???

Thanks,
Erik

Use the ARS digit conversion table to delete everything except the last 4 digits and send the calls to the 'ext' extension table. Are you using UDP to steer calls between sites? If so, you may want to add the RNX and point the calls to the AAR table.

Hey Erik
How are you these days..?
If you use a route-pattern there is a del number of digits field.
You could also insert digits, and do alternate routings.
On the ars digit conversion you could also send it to an extension of an announcement, if you want to let them know they should use extensions, or alternatively put it on deny.
Alternatively use AAR via seperate route pattern, then use a diffrent route pattern point to the trunk of the other location.
