We have upgraded our iSeries(AS/400) to V5R2 and with it went Office Vision--our office was very dependent on Office Vision with thousands and thousands of documents. We have created a work around for these documents with MSWORD but now have come across a problem that I'm not sure how to handle. There is a batch job that runs twice a day and processes letters to our clients, when a letter is processed, I need to call a vbs macro from an RPG program. I have read some on stored procedures, where you call an RPG program from VB--but I'm going the other direction--(call VB from RPG). I am aware of the remote command call on the AS/400, but since this is not an executable VB program, I don't believe that will work this situation.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

What we've done pre V5 is to execute MS WORD 2000 template with VBA code, which in turn accesses a keyed data queue through a Client Access Express OCX.

The data queue is filled with text that replaces book marked fields in the MS WORD doc.

Client Access Express OCX--?? Thanks for your thoughts on this - this is very interesting, doing something that I didn't know existed. I'll be checking into the CA OCX.
