Calling a exe with User Interface from MQSeries

S.O.S.

I put a message on a queue which has a trigger application associated with it.This triggering application has a User Interface. When it trigers, process is created for the exe and i can see it in Task Manager but no application/window is cretaed for it and system hangs at this point. Can anyone help me to tell how this application/window can be launched ?

Did you try creating a batch file and using the "Start myprogram.exe" command? You can have the trigger program start the batch file instead of the .exe itself.

Although I am not a Windows expert, I don't believe that you can run a Windows application from a service (such as the Trigger monitor normally uses) - unless you are actually logged on with that user at the time the program starts AND the service has been configured to be allowed access to the desktop.

If I'm wrong about this I'd be interested to hear the details.

... forgot to say...

If you look at the Event Viewer you will probably see a message saying that the popup window couldn't be displayed or something similar.
