I have 2 mailboxes that I configured with caller menu options and for an internal caller, the message can be played all the way through and the caller can still select an option. But if the caller is external, after 15-16 seconds pass they cant select anything. One message is literally 5 minutes long and the other is 1.5 minutes. Any ideas? thanks in advanced........

are you using Unity or Unity Connection? What version?

I don't think it matters between internal/external callers, but you could try the Delay Between Re-prompts setting on the edit Greeting page. Default is 2 seconds...

For some awkward reason? Its effecting external callers. I've changed the delay timer to the maximum allowed and no difference.

As far as CUCXN is concerned the call still comes to it over the same path from the call manager.

How is the DN set up on the CUCM? Is it a CTI RP? Since it's an external call you should be able to set up a transformation mask and thus make it appear as an internal caller. Have you tried that?

Is the external Gateway H.323 or MGCP? Sounds like a DTMF timer is expiring.

Figured out what is was. The DTMF relay was incorrect on the subscriber. The publisher was using DTMF Relay h245 alphanumeric and the subscriber was using DTMF relay rtp-nte. Once we changed the relay on the subscriber, problem fixed.
