Can not get caller ID to work on older compact ICS, caller ID set allowed, telco feature's turned on? any suggestions?
 
is your card a DS or CI you need a CI for caller id, also the line must appear and ring on the station in question.
 
To add once line is assigned to Appear and Ring or Ring it will then show up under Telco features so you can tell line XXX = Y for CLID.

Both these features are turned on and it is a CI card, Telco CID is working as well, Bad card in the Norstar posibly? Not sure what is wrong?
 
Have you verified caller id is being sent via your own testing of just taking the word of your LEC? I would definitely make sure clid is being sent myself cause it sounds like the programming is correct. Also if your getting dial tone on your lines then I seriously doubt the card has a problem.

CLID is working from the LEC, Lines are answered by user's, no AA until 4 rings, any suggestions?
 
are your users waiting for the phone line to ring 2x before picking up? Possibly the system hasn't received the call info if they are picking up right away.

It would help to know what the problem is exactly. What do you mean when you say that you can't get Caller ID to work:

[li]Do you mean that Caller ID doesn't appear on the display after the call is answered?[/li]
[/ol]

It would also help to know how old is your Compact ICS. Can you share the software version?

It means that the CO doesn't send the CID or that the CICS doesn't receive it.

You should double check that the CO actually sends the CID. You can plug an analog phone that can display the CID directly into the line or monitor the line with a butt set.

If the CO is indeed sending the CID, the CI trunk cartridge could be defective. Like norstarboy125 suggested, you should try with another cartridge. Let us know what you find.
