I have a Definity G3V8. Who provides caller ID for outgoing calls the Definity or the local phone company?

Depends on your trunking. In most cases the phone company is responsible for providing calling name/number. If you have PRI service, you should be able to override the number they're sending. change isdn public is the command. I think r8 did that...
