BCM50 with 4 centrex lines in. Can anything be done via the BCM50 regarding what clid is sent outgoing off of these analog lines? I have a main line with three roll lines configured via the phone company. They are telling me that they can do nothing in regards to the roll lines not showing main number clid on outbound calls. Has anybody ever gotten roll lines to show main number clid?

Equipment can never change transmitted CPN on analog trunks. That's _always_ the CO.

(it would be technically possible to transmit ANI on analog trunks if they're configured as fgd/fgb a la *ani*dnis*, but not CPN, and I don't think anyone would sell you that now, and it is my understanding that Nortel equipent doesn't do that type of trunk/signalling)

The only configuration I'm aware of for sending a single CPN from multiple analog trunks is a 'multiline hunt group' where the 'group' has a CPN, and each trunk in the group is actually a coded terminal with no direct-diallable number. I've never seen that configuration on a Centrex line, and I've never seen it on a 'line' hunt-group, only on a 'trunk' hunt group connected to a PBX. (Meaning you have to order trunks to have it, not 'business lines'.)

I would think that the LEC could _technically_ assign a single CPN to each 'line', but leave the 'ani' as the actual line number, but I doubt that their OSS will allow them to do so. (meaning if the rep on the phone can't find way to put it into their web interface, you will have a heck of a time getting to someone in translations that could actually make the change.)

The only thing they can do have your mail phone # and then 3 more Terminals (I believe the tech term at SBC, others may call them something different) behind them. I've always seen that they gave new #s rather than terminals unless specifically asked for.

That way all would show the same # on caller ID.
