Caller ID vs. Call Log

Does anyone know how/why on a CM rel.4.0.1 that the caller id displayed on the phones no longer contains hyphens and gets completely jumbled when you insert the 9 and the 1 in the trunk group to enable call logs to dial out?
Surely there is a way to make this work.Does the phone type have any effect?We have a mix of 2420's and 6416's.

Victor,

Check your 'Dialplan Parameters'as this is where you set how the system displays numbers to the phones.

I'm not sure what you mean by inserting the 9 and the 1 on the trunk group?
If it's to allow the phone to insert the 9 etc when calling out via the call log then this is done using the 46xxsettings.txt file.
