Which load is it in that will let me define to show my extension rather then the mainline. I was told that there is a way that you can force either to show the mainline to the company or your extension for caller ID. I just dont know which load to go into to make this change.

Thanks in advance for any help given here.

If i remember right, look in LD 15 for the prompt LIT or LID,, change it to 1 ...this will send the extn number to the telco so that the full number is sent out

sorry wrong info...
LD 16
LID 1 (one)

try that Colin

When I go to LD 16 I get a prompt REQ: now is there a way to just view the information as such as using REQ:prt to view it. It does not let you use the prt command. Only options you have is to change, new, out and one other option. All I want to do is view it first before I make any changes.

The problem is that some of my users telephones are ok it shows his or her extension for caller ID and some of my other users phone for their caller id it just shows our main number.

Go to LD 21

LD 21
REQ: PRT
TYPE: CLID
CUST 0
SIZE <R>
RNGE
INTL 10

ENTRY 0
HNTN
ESA_HLCL 51274
ESA_INHN NO
ESA_APDN YES
HLCL 51274 <--------- ADD YOUR NPA-NXX HERE
DIDN YES <------- STATES YOU WANT TO USE THE DID
HLOC
LSC

To set this entry

LD 15
REQ: CHG
TYPE: NET
TYPE NET_DATA
CUST 0
OPT
AC2
FNP
CLID YES
SIZE
INTL
ENTRY <--- CREATE YOU ENTRY HERE

You can do things like set pre-determined numbers to pulse out if you wish, say in a call center environment, or you can just pulse out the main number. Check the NTP's it will walk you through these items.

when you make the phone, on the SCR key you would set up:

KEY 0 SCR 1234 1 <--- INDICATES WHAT CLID ENTRY TO USE

Hope this helps

Steve
you can print this info in 21

LD 21

how do you change an individual's phone set to only show his extension on his LCD display? also, how do you change to show another user to show the main company's phone line on their phone display?

Can I go abouts changing just one station first to test it out or do I have to do it network wide only.I notice that you said to do a net_data. I think when you say net_dat it means the entire system correct. Is there a way to do just one station first to test out before I go system wide. Also does the Entry at the bottom there mean what number you want people to see. What would you put if you wanted the users own extension. Wouldnt it be different entry every time.

LD 15
REQ: CHG
TYPE: NET
TYPE NET_DATA
CUST 0
OPT
AC2
FNP
CLID YES
SIZE
INTL
ENTRY <--- CREATE YOU ENTRY HER

Thanks for all the tips so far

Making the changes i recommend will effect your whole system Colin

That ENTRY number is the number after the SCR you would enter:

Key 0 scr 1234 1 <--- this one

If you do not put anything there it will default to 0 and you can have a 0 entry that looks like:

ENTRY 0
HNTN
ESA_HLCL 51274
ESA_INHN NO
ESA_APDN YES
HLCL 1234567890 <-- if you enter this
DIDN NO <--- and this
HLOC
LSC

The called party will get 1234567890 on their caller id box. This way if you want to specify the DID on caller ID you create ENTRY 1:

ENTRY
HNTN
ESA_HLCL 51274
ESA_INHN NO
ESA_APDN YES
HLCL 512742 <--------- ADD YOUR NPA-NXX HERE
DIDN YES <------- STATES YOU WANT TO USE THE DID
HLOC
LSC

And program their SCR key:

Key 0 SCR 1234 1 <--- Entry Number

and the called party caller id box will show 512-742-1234. I am assuming that all your DID numbers have the same npa-nxx? if not you will need a different ENTRY for eadh NXX you have. We had that, until we bought the whole NXX.

Hope this works.
