Caller ID questions

Hi all,

I have a BCM50 installed with a BRI Module connected to 3 ISDN Lines.

when making calls to mobile phones my telephone number appears, i imagine this is standard caller id and i think its normal, however i have two questions :

1, Can i disable this? meaning when making calls i do not want my number to be displayed.

2, Is it possible to set the outgoing call number as to the actual line number? menaing is the actual line is 0207 365 1234, can we make it 0207 111 2222.

Do you want your number disabled all the time for all your extensions or just yours.

If you want it on just yours you will need to dial 141 in front of every number.

If you speak to BT you can ask them to withhold it on the lines.

Is the 0207 111 2222 number built against the ISDN2 circuits?

If this number is built on the ISDN2 circuit you can change the number to be sent out by changing the public OLI on each extension under line assignment.

You need to send the same number of digits out that you receive in. If BT provide you with 4 digits for DDI range then you need to send 4 digits out on the public OLI.

Hi Marshall,thanks for the quick response.

We have 6 lines comming in from 3 ISDN 2e boxe's.

From any phone we need one of the following, not sure which one at the moment.

1. When any user make a call, no number should be displayed on the external users phone display.

2. Our ISDN Number for all 6 lines is 0207 234 3433, if we keep Caller ID on (default) can we set the outgoing number to anything we want?

We dont have DDI.

Yeah providing the number is built against the channels you can send the number out on the network.
