Hello,

I have a block of direct inward dialing numbers. Does anyone know can the Avaya magix show each individual direct inward dial extension out pulse when dialing to the far end. For example my did is 555 1240. If I dial from this phone can the magix show area code and 555-1240?

You do it through WinSPM, PRI programming. The options are to outpulse the main number or to send base number + extension.

However, it's been my experience that if the SERVICE PROVIDER gets a CALLER ID from your system that it doesn't know (Like an extension that doesn't have a D-I-D) it won't let it go through.

You can switch to an IP Office which gives you finer control over Calling Party Number.
You can group those user extensions without DID numbers to send the main number or any other valid number through ARS programming.
With your Merlin you may have to see if your provider could-would overwrite any non valid Calling Party Number calls with BTN or one particular valid DID number.
If they would allow that interaction then you would have not have that particular issue.

I have seen where I was sending base number plus extension where my extension was not one of my did numbers.
The lec accepted it and sent it.
it was a number for a different company
397 22xx was our did numbering, all was good with 2xx extension numbers. when I sent an extension number 300, it sent 397 2300
which happened to be the main number of a bank in our town.
