We recently changed over from COT's to two voice T-1's (non-PRI) to our local telco. When we call outbound, it reads "unavailable" to the person picking up. Is there a way we can have our main number show up like it did on the COT's. And I see from reading the forum that PRI is the way to way and I've just found out that it's available. However, are there any hardware requirements we'd need to implement this. We have a Nortel Meridian 61C rel. 25.4.

Depending on the telco, and the telco's CO, it may be possilbe to have a 'static CPN' or 'psuedo ani' programmed against the trunk group. They already send an 'ani' for calls from that group, but CPN is technically a different information element. I know that this capability exists on a DMS-100, DMS-250, DMS-300, and DMS-500, but is software release dependent. And some carrier's won't do it, or don't know how to do it--it never hurts to ask.

To add PRI you will need the software packages SW0051C (ISDN Networking) SW0053B (ISDN Networking). SW0050B (Networking) is a prerequisite for these but you may already have it. R25.40 is sustained so you can still purchase these. You will also need an MSDL port or a Daughterboard for your Dchannel.

Your QPC471 and 720s have min rev levels to support PRI, your vendor should check those when quoting this for you.
