Does anyone know how to set up caller ID on incoming analogue trunks so that I can see who is calling certain numbers? I am using e-series dterms and COTU trunk cards.

Also would be useful to know how to do on the ISDN as well.

Thank you,
Simon

See the following.

4RSTC card on sense wheel 06
4COTG, 8COTQ trunk card (trunks D000 – D003 programmed in CM10)

CM3000>000 – 003>10
CM3001>000 – 003>01 (tenant 01)
CM3002>000 – 003>02 (example will be Direct Trunk Appear. for Day mode)
CM3003>000 – 003>04 (DIT to a station for Night mode)
CM3005>000 – 003>200

CM3500>10>00
CM3504>10>7
CM3509>10>15
CM3520>10>15
CM3537>10>0 (turns on MF signaling)
CM3548>10>0 (Busy/idle status not sent to network)
CM35129>10>0 (CID specified as sending method of calling number from network)

CM050>06>08 (program the 4RSTC card) RESET

CM0604>00>060 (second data format is xxy, xx = sense wheel of 4RTSC, x = circuit #)
>01>061
>02>062
>03>063 (all 4 circuits are programmed)

CM08>472>0 (request for CID signal)

CMAA07>06>0 (CID specified as sending method of calling number from network to AP card)

CM311>3>10 (number of digits in the calling party number)

CLEAR 4RSTC CARD

SET SW1 ELEMENTS 1-4 TO ON (rcvr make busy)

CMDB90>0000>CCC

SET SW1 ELEMENTS 1-4 TO OFF (toggle card make busy, then back on)

CMDC01>2 – 9>1 (sets CID with calling party numbers beginning with 2 – 9 to table 1 for tenant 01 trunks)

CMDB30>0>1

CMDB01>1>****02 (day mode for table 1 set to Direct Trunk Appearance)

CMDB02>1>****04 (night mode for table 1 set to DIT; will follow what’s in CM3005)

We may want to mention that Call ID is not available w/ ground start trunks.......

COTU is used across the pond. you may get with PBC

Looks like CID is not available with COTU here either. However, on the ISDN, I currently only have a PN-30 ISDN card. Does this mean I need to get a 4RSTC card If I want to set CID up on the ISDN?
Thank you,
Simon

I do not know about the PRi 30 channel card but in the US a 4RST is not needed for the 24 channel card.

No the 30 channel is just the same as the 24 channel. The 4RST card is a register card which basically listens for or generates MF tones and as ISDN doesn't use MF signalling, the 4RST doesn't come into play.
