Thank in advance for any help, insights or comments.

I have a MICS 0X32 with 3 line cards for a total of potential 12 lines. Right now I have 7 lines on the system (will be adding 2 more). I know that I have to get a Fiber Expansion Cartridge and 12X0 module in order to accomodate caller ID. Is the right part number NT7B75 for this setup? From my research I know that each CLID module will provide 4 lines with service. How do I know which lines this will be? Here are how my lines are set up;

Line 001 - COMPANY1
Line 002 - COMPANY1

Line 003 - COMPANY2
Line 004 - COMPANY2

Line 025 - COMPANY3
Line 026 - COMPANY3
Line 027 - COMPANY3

FUTURE;
Line xxx - COMPANY4
Line xxx - COMPANY4

Can I assign service to particular lines only? Any can anybody tell me why the lines jumps from 004 to 025 but will I go into configuratin Lines 005-24, 028-? are avaiable?

Each caller ID card has 4 ports in which to give caller ID. Card slot 1 will do Lines 001 to 004, card slot 2 will do 025 to 028, and so on. If you would want caller ID for just lines 025 to 028 just put the caller ID card into slot 2. Trunk ports never change order. The reason the lines jump from 004 to 025 is to save room for a T1 card. If you had a T-1, the lines would be 001 to 024. Thats why they jump. You could do mix and matching with the way you bring the lines into the system if you wanted some to be on the caller ID card and some not to be. Refer to your installer manual to see how trunk ports line up with card slots, and also it should have the wiring pinouts. If you don't have a book check out what Jerry suggested there are wiring diagrams there.

Something that hasn't been stated clearly in this thread:

On the MICS versions that use the 1-4 / 25-28 sequence, not only is the numbering going to jump from 4 to 25 on the KSU, but also from 28 to 49 for the first line on the first 0x12 module. This is to reserve the 29-48 assignments for a second digital circuit...you can have two T1/PRI circuits on the KSU.

As long as you use appropriate "CI" cards in the relevant slots, you can have Caller ID on any connected POTS line - provided you subscribe to Caller ID at the telco! You'd be surprised how many users think the cards on the system can give Caller ID that isn't yet being sent by the telco.
A reminder - the Caller ID data squirt happens between the first and second rings. If you answer the call too soon, there's not going to be any info to display.

Guys:

All of your comments and information will go a long way when I go to to program my phoes.

Thanks,
TCWINONT
