Changed over to PRI. What an ADVENTURE!! It's working!. Getting Caller ID numbers on the SMDR printout. The question is, "Can I get the number BEFORE the hangup? I know I will sacrifice duration time!

This is on the SMDR printout, not the phone display.

Not sure I understand the question, but you can set smdr report time to ZERO.

I've never played with that on PRI, but I know that PRI knows what the number is before it rings the phone.

So, perhaps ZERO report time will make it so.....

If you want the SMDR to spit out the number before the call is complete the system will not do it.

What you could do is purchase a CTI link and some software with screen pop info. There is no way to print the information before the call is disconnected because that will not be effective in call accounting, you would never have an accourate talk time. The only way I have seen it done is with the CTI link. I believe TASKE has that abaility. There are a couple of companies who develope software for the CTI link. The only issue is the cost of the software....not cheap.

did you change the parameter in the SMDR programming to ISDN? If it is still set to standard SMDR, the number will not be displayed.

Yes, SMDR is working correctly! Customer wants to use this in another application when number is received, not when caller hangs up. Sounds like the CTI senario is the way they would have to go!?
