PD is getting a new 911 control position & along with the 911 trunks i have ext pkup mn# along with 5 other ext pkup 5 other lines in the hunt. What I'm trying to achieve is that when a call comes in on one of the Verz pots lines ,which has caller id, & the call is transferred can the caller id follow. This just a temp setup till they move & get IP Ofc.

If the caller ID is showing on the first extension, as long as it's transferred (by merlin, not Verizon/Centrex) to a display phone (that isn't a T/R port) the caller ID info follows, extension 2 should first sees transferring ext info, if you then hit {more}, it should show you originating caller ID

And if the person transferring the call presses Transfer + Ext + Transfer again it will show the outside number versus the transferring extension.

Telcom
I get the same result (outside number {hit more} PRI DID digits) doing
transfer + ext + transfer
or
transfer + ext + hangup

I know, but your way the person receiving the call has to press more. My way has responsibility on the transferring person to complete the transfer and that way the receiving person just sees it.

I don't have caller ID on pots (800/408 id), I'm using PRI, but both (transfer or hangup at the end) give me the same results.
Does Caller ID routing behave differently POTS vs PRI ?
