Caller ID on covered calls?

Hi everyone:

Is it possible to receive Caller ID on covered calls? We have a user who has two extensions. He has call cover on to send the calls to the other extension if he doesn't answer at the first. When the call rings at the covered extension, the display shows "COVER FOR XX". There is a "show caller ID" button programmed on the phone, but the display doesn't change when that button is pushed and the ringing line is selected.

Just wondering if this might be possible. Many thanks for your assistance!

the "inspect" button only works when you are on the phone and want to peek into another line.
If you see a call ringing you could press the line that flashes green on your phone ( if it does) and it will show the caller ID without picking it up.
