I have a customer asking me about caller ID on a COT line that is not working and wanting to turn it on. The trunks are copper lines (No PRI), what needs to be turned on to make this happen? Does this need to be a a PRI in order to have D-channel capabilities to pass the caller ID information? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Copper Trunks that are setup as single lines can have CLID that is sent out between the first and second ring cycle. You would then need a phone or phone system taht supports CLID such as Norstar, BCM etc.

It's a phone system, NOT a clock!
