Caller ID on a 6X16, is it possible??

I have a customer that has a nortel/meridian 6x16 and is wanting caller ID, I thought this unit was not capatible, anyone have any info?

What software cartridge do you have in it?

Not sure 100%, but I do not think DR1 supports caller ID.

With DR 5.x, you will only be able to have one set autodisplay the ID, other sets will have to use Feature 811 to display it on a per call basis.

As already stated, you will need a C6 or M8 caller ID interface unit. It takes up one station port and then bridge taps into your CO lines.

You must have DR5 or higher plus the M8 or C6 caller ID module. Might be about the same cost to locate a CICS with one caller ID trunk card. Then your customer could have caller ID appear on all ringing phones automatically instead of just one.

exsmogger is right, it will cost you a ton to get one, not to mention the labor to install it. It is not worth the trouble.
