Hi,

we have recently changed to SIP to PRI Gateway from traditional gateway, everything is working fine but the caller ID on the mitel phones are not visible. Teleco is saying everything is fine from there end and they have also showed us the raw data that they are sending which clearly shows that the are sending the caller data along with the extensions number.

On the hardphone itself when on a call only the accessed trunk is visibe like "E1 - Label in trunk attirbutes" not the caller ID

we have consulted with mitel team as well and the are sayin that presentation of caller id is restricted by teleco please find the attached logs that we ahared.

Looking at the ISDN trace that you provided. It seems that the carrier is sending that the presentation of the Calling number is not to be presented.

Below is a part of the initial setup message.

-010---- Type of number : National number
----0001 Numbering plan : ISDN/telephony numbering - Rec. E.164
3a 1------- Extension bit : Not Continued
-01----- Presentation : Restricted
---000-- Spare
------11 Screening : Network provided
4 ******** Phone number : [9841868442]
1 01110000 Information Element: Called Party Number:
2 IE Length : 5 octets

The " -01----- Presentation : Restricted" which means that the caller does not allow their number to be sent forward. The field should show " -00----- Presentation : Allowed "The MiVB will act on the "Presetation" field regardless what the "Phone Field" shows.

It is usual that the "Presentation" field shows restricted and the "Phone Number " is populated with the called number. My thoughts is that the SIP PRI Gateway may not be setup correctly. To prove this can you get a Wireshark trace before the SIP/PRI Gateway and we can determine whether its the carrier or the Gateway?

This is not a MiVB issue

What might be the possible solution here

Teleco is saying that the same gateway they have implmented on couple of sites with similar configuration an dthere it is working fine.

I have check the COS the line identification is enabled there as well.

Thanks
