Can a name be set for outbound calls on our PRI's using IMAT or is this set by the service provider?
Our phone numbers are showing up on the called party caller id but the name is displayed as unknown.
our PRI's are set to Null in IMAT.

It is controlled by a COS option, but since you're on a 2k it might have to be enables with a feature level. I am not sure on that would have to look it up. Also depends on the PRI. Mitel only supports outbound name on DMS switches. On NI2 you can only send out number.

In the US, 'name' is retrieved by the far-end CO via database lookup, so it's what is on file at the service provider. End-office carriers also have to pay to lookup name, so if the originating and terminating carriers don't play well, name may not ever display

Yes you can send name out from the PBX but you have to have inbound name on your PRI as well. Ensure your proper cloass of service options are set and that you have not set the name to private in the Teldir
