When using Auto Attendant caller id is not showing up on phone sets once a call is transfered. After disabling attendant. and having lines appearing & ring on set. Caller id works. What am I doing wrong? and how do I get caller id to work with transfer thru auto attendant.
 
Curly's right- It normally takes 2 rings. Unless you are useing a NAM with 4.1 you have no option- One thing you can do is program a 'Memory' button with "INFO" Feature 811. This will show the incomming call's info after being transfered. It's not ideal, but it will get you there. (another quirk of Nortel)

What VM and software are you useing?

if you set in lines administration for the aa to answer after 2 rings you will receive proper caller id info

My bad- I was clear as mud! Unless I read something else into Wolfpack's question, the CLID info is working and I'm sure only after the 2nd ring- but the call info isn't displayed on the set the call is transfered to-- which you can get around by useing F 811 (Call Info) on the set the call is transfered to. NAM 4.1 has an enhanced CLID feature that originated from the 4.0 Fiber which will display CLID info once a call has been transfered. To get to "CLID "programming and CLID admin in both 4.0 and 4.1 --- F983/other/ enter 1 1.
 
Your mean F983/11 for CLID table? That's only to direct the incoming call to where you want based on the ID.

All voice mails will transfer the Caller ID Info since it's KSU controlled.

Bottom line any any system with CLID you must wait 1.5 to 2 rings before answering, that goes for sets or AA (AA/Lines/Rings/2)
