Questions:
1) The customer wants it to where when someone call from outside to a phone onsite, they can see the true number they are calling from.

2) They want to make it so when they call some one else, it doesnt always display the same number. IE-XXX-XXX-3300... they want it to be able to display the real calleres number.

Can this be manipulated by the Nortel PBX or is it carrier specific??

For inbound/outbound caller ID, you will need PRI-based trunks (ISDN30 in Europe).

You will need to tell the carrier that you want inbound caller ID, and also that you want to specify the outbound caller ID.

The outbound caller ID is built using the CLID tables in LD 15 under the NET gate-opener.

additionally, the PBX does not control inbound CLID and to add to allenmac, you also need a d channel
