Is it possible to get a Caller ID on a Meridian 11 (rel. 20.22) digital system telephone (M3310 and/or M2008D).

If so, can you please explain?

What do you mean by caller ID?. Do you mean the name and ext number of the person calling you who's on your option 11 or do you mean the person calling from outside your option 11 ie: like someone from another town.

It's the second option. A person calling from outside my option 11 (from another town).

Are you paying the phone co to provide this service, it's not free.

Yes.
I bought a Meridian option 11 (rel 20.22) -second hand- and i'm not sure if it's available on my system.

If you have not a T1 or DTI ,is impossible by copper trunks.

You'll want a PRI circuit(s) from your local carrier and you'll have to get a PRI card(s) for your switch. You can also use a regular T-1 (D4/AMI) if your switch has feature group D software (chances are it doesn't) and you'd need to order FGD service from your carrier. PRI is really the better way to go. You can get PRIs on fiber or copper. Opt for fiber if it's available.
