SBC has indicated they have turned on Caller ID on all of the (I believe) 6 centrex lines coming into our Avaya Partner ACS R4.0 system.

I have turned on the Caller ID logs for all the phones using the remote administration tool and all of their phones are Partner 18D, 2x24 button, Display phones.

Only one of the Partner phones is passing through Caller ID. The others are not. With the exception of some of the speed dials, each phone is programmed exactly the same.

Any ideas as to what might be wrong?
Thank you!

Yes, they all ring on seperate lines, but they do have the ability to pick up on all the other lines coming into the system.

I received word that now 3 of the 7 phones are passing through Caller ID.

However, I also found out they did this before I made any changes to the way the system logs Caller ID calls.

You won't see CID unless the phone also rings on that line - for instance, my extension is to No Ring on Line 1 & 2, but Immediate Ring on Line 3. I'll see CID on 3, but not 1 & 2.

That does make sense, and I thank you for the information but perhaps I haven't explained myself that well.

We have (I believe) 7 centrex lines going into the Partner system, one for each of the phones on that system.

Each phone on the system has its own number as line 1 and 2. They are set to ring on those lines. All the other numbers that come into the system are set up as "bridged appearances" but don't ring.

Every phone is identical in all programming with the exception of some of those bridged appearances and speed dials.

With that in mind, three of the phones are carrying Caller ID through and 4 are not.

Could this be because SBC did not turn on the Caller ID on those 4 lines?

I realize an easy confirmation would be to plug a Caller ID unit right into each of those lines outside of the Partner system, but I'm about an hour from the site with no current authorization to visit the site. This is a new project to me (I'm sure that's obvious by now) and I'm learning as I go.

what other modules do you have in the partner , are they 308's or they 206EC or 400EC's if they do not have EC's no caller ID
