Partner ACS v7. We have a user who floats between two different offices in the building, and when she leaves her main desk, she activates the cover feature so that calls will follow her to her other office.
When an outside call comes in, the coverage works fine, and the display reads "cover for xx" where xx is her extension. Is there a way that she can see the number/id while still remaining onhook? I've tried the following thus far:
1. One suggestion was to press the line button that the call is coming in on. When I do that, nothing happens while the call is ringing, but I notice that when it goes to VM, the called number will show on the phone's display.
2. I have an "InspectCallerID" button programmed and tried to use that, but no help.
3. For the heck of it, I programmed a button for the original extension on the covering phone, and when a covered call rings, that button winks. Tried pressing that too, but to no avail.
Is there something else that anyone knows of that I might be able to try? Thanks for the help.
