Caller ID for Analog Lines

We have a HiPath 4000 V5. We have voice recording device (VOXCPTS) which records voice calls FROM and TO an analog extension. It records caller ID from outgoing calls, but not incoming. Is there a way to have it record caller IDs from incoming calls from the analog line too? We know that analog telephone sets connected to analog lines from (SLMA cards) do not have LED /screen displays. But when they call a digital extension, their caller ID is actually present / can be seen from the LED screen displays of digital sets (e.g. Optipoint).

I do not know about the voice recording device, but previously I wanted to display the caller ID on analog lines on HiPath 4000, what I needed was a SLMA card with CLIP, I have brought SLMAC card and the ID now is running on the analog telephone sets.

Thanks Saeed... I it a different type of SLMA card? So you mean to say there is a standard SLMA and there is an SLMA with CLIP?

Yes, there are different types of SLMA boards for analog phones, I have tried SLMAC card and it displays the ID (of course in analog sets with screens)

Does the OptiPoint Analog Adapter provide CLIP to devices with display? We have only SLMA and SLMO cards, but sometimes need CLIP on analog device (e.g. consumer DECT set). Does it make sense to buy analog adapter with power supply and convert such an extension to OptiPoint secondary station number?

I'm sorry, I do not know the answer for that.

I use the Optiset Analog Adapters in one of my clinics and I asked the staff to do a test for you. The optiset adapter does not pass along the ANI information to an analog phone the way we have it set up. I do not know if they added that feature to the Optipoint version, which is newer, but I know it does not work for the Optiset one.

thanks for the effort DON! I guess I'll just group the analog and SIP lines. Let them dial the SIP line to log the caller ID and pick it up from the analog line to record the voice.
