Hi everyone,

I have an issue with incoming caller ID.

We have an S8730 with CM 5 and isdn lines.

Occasionally when someone calls into our office, the caller id displays the name of one of our trunk groups instead of the caller information.

I thought I saw a post on this problem but I haven't been able to find it.

Thanks for your help.

If the caller is hiding their CLI you wont see their info and that's why you see the trunk name.

Thanks inerguard, but we confirmed that the carrier is sending the caller id info.

I read a post not too long ago that addressed the issue of the trunk group appearing on the phone display. It was an issue with programming in the Avaya server. Just not sure what and I haven't been able to find the post. Aaarrrggg.

Thanks again.

The isdn public-unknown numbering only affects how others see your outgoing caller-id.

You could try changing the Outgoing Display field from Y to N on the troup group.
