customer has 8 line's that appear on his phone. Only two lines ring. customer say's that the caller ID log would show just his two line's(that ring) Now all the call's show in his log. If a line appear's and does not ring (on his phone)it show's in his log. Feature *84 is set to unanswerd by me. customer said it use to work.

do the other lines ring on any other phones or do they go straight to an auto attendant?

calls have to appear and ring for call log to work if it is appear only it does not work

Actually the lines only have to appear on the set (depending on your software) to make the calls show up in the log. Ringing was not required when I tested it just now on my MICS 5.0.

Of course, it also has to be properly programmed as a caller id set with some log space but each line can be individually designated as a call log line for any set under telco features.

If the user only wants to log all calls that come in on 2 of their 8 lines, just deny call logging (on that set under telco features) on the other 6 lines. Then dial Feature *84 and set it to log all calls.
