We have integrated an Avaya G3R and a Cisco Call manager successfully. However, we cannot paas caller id. We have it setup through a TN464GP card in the switch. We pass the Ani info. All the digits go through. The call manager recieves the full 10 digits instead of just the 4 digit extension and the name associated with the extension does not pass? Anyone run into this problem before?

I have had experience with this on an NEAX 2400 IPX. In the command that you use in MatWorX is AAND. How many are you telling it to skip and add? If you put in for example, skip 4 and add 0 - you will get the last digit of the 5 digit extension of the number of the station you are calling from. What are you telling it to do?

I work on Avaya equipment. You would need to have the RTU turned on QSIG. Avaya defines QSIG as:

"QSIG is the generic name for a family of signaling protocols. The Q reference point or interface is the logical point where signaling is passed between two switches in a private network. QSIG signaling allows certain features to work in a single-vendor or multi-vendor network. QSIG complies with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) private-networking specifications. QSIG is defined by ISO as the worldwide standard for private networks. QSIG uses ISO standard protocols as well as call independent signaling connections (CISCs), administered as non-call-associated temporary signal (NCA-TSCs)."

In a nutshell, it is a standard communication protocol common to different telecom systems from different manufacturers. I do know that QSIG with supplimentary services will pass the CPN data between the G3R and the Cisco Call Manager.
